Gardens4Gaia is an effort to encourage people to grow edible food plants, no matter where they live, whether in an urban setting, an apartment, a home with a backyard or out in the country. This could be something as simple as an indoor herb garden or a few potted plants. I realize this may seem like a meager effort, but I suspect once begun, gardening has a way of growing on you! ;o)

Which brings me to my own little personal revelation – gardening is a topic I know little about, which makes this journey all the more interesting for me. So far in my life I have attempted to keep a houseplant or two, with varying degrees of success, mostly not ending well for the plants. As of right now, I have only one very forgiving Ivy plant that has managed to survive for nearly 3 years, including a recent move.

So I begin this quest with all of you as a complete novice. We can learn together.

If I can do this… anyone can!!
